Rule 20
Swearing
(1) Every civil servant who is appointed in accordance with section 14 of the Act shall take an oath in accordance with Schedule-6.
(2) When taking the oath according to sub-rule (1), the secretary of the relevant ministry in the case of gazetted posts and the official in the case of non-gazetted posts and unranked posts will administer the oath.
(3) One copy of the oath taken by the civil servant shall be sent to the civil library and the other copy shall be kept in the office where the civil servant is employed.

(1) In the case of gazetted posts, in order to be promoted in civil service, group or sub-group vacant posts by performance evaluation and seniority and performance evaluation, employees with the minimum service period and educational qualification as per section 21 of the relevant service, group or sub-group under the relevant service, group or sub-group in the case of gazetted posts.
